The various volumes of the Monograph Series of the Römisch-Germanisches Zentralmuseum deal with extensive inquiries into the Ancient and Early Medieval History, Culture and Art, based on archaeological, historical and literary sources.

 

 

Catalogues of Pre- and Early Historical Antiquity
In the catalogue series relating to pre- and early historical antiquity, entries offer a summarized overview of material relating to specific regionally- and historically-specific epochs of Pre- and Early History that have to do with the topic of other find-groups of the institution’s collection. These are designed in catalogue-format and are scientifically utilized.

 

Forschungen zur Urgeschichte aus dem Tagebau Schöningen
In this series the find locations of Schöningen should be presented scientifically. Schöningen is known for the 320,000 years old spears. The series is a collaboration of the RGZM with the Lower Saxony State Office for Heritage and the Roman-Germanic Commission of the German Archaeological Institute.

 

 

Mosaic Stones. Research at the RGZM
This collection offers a look into the current archaeological research at the RGZM through on selected examples to a wide audience. These volumes offer a focused view and are well-produced and -illustrated.

Volcano Park Research: Investigations of Landscape and Cultural History
The operation of the Volcano Park project includes ongoing investigations of the geological and archaeological landmarks in the East Eifel. The research results are introduced in this collection.

 

 

 

Corpus Signorum Imperii Romani
Within the framework of the internationally-recognized Corpus Signorum Imperii Romani (Quantity of Sculptures of the Roman World), the RGCM is responsible for the closed edition of all sculptured stone relics of the Roman Period in Germany. The foundations of the classifications include the corresponding museums in Germany whose content was submitted.
