Unverzierte Terra Sigillata des 4./5. Jahrhunderts aus der Grabung im Bereich des Kastells Alzey 2002
Im vorliegenden Beitrag werden unverzierte Fragmente von Terra Sigillata des 4./5. Jahrhunderts vorgestellt, die bei den Ausgrabungen des Jahres 2002 im Bereich des spätrömischen Kastells von Alzey zutage gekommen sind. Es handelt sich um 71 Bruchstücke von über zehn verschiedenen Gefäßtypen (Schüsseln: 47, Teller: 11, Schüsseln/Teller: 4, Becher/Krüge: 9). Ergänzend fand die Randscherbe eines Terra Nigra-Derivates aus der Mitte des 5. Jahrhunderts Eingang in die Zusammenstellung. Durch die Zugehörigkeit zu den unabhängig datierten Befunden der Grabung lassen sich 56 Gefäße der Zeit von etwa 370 bis 430/40 n. Chr. zuweisen.
Undecorated Samian Ware (Terra Sigillata) of 4th/5th century date from the excavation in the area of the Alzey fort in 2002
The article discusses the undecorated Terra Sigillata of the 4th/5th century which was discovered during the excavations in 2002 in the area of the late Roman fort at Alzey. There are 71 fragments of more than ten different vessel types (bowls: 47, plates: 11, bowls/dishes: 4, beakers/jugs: 9). In addition a rim-sherd of a Terra Nigra-derivative from the middle of the 5th century is considered. 56 Terra Sigillata vessels come from independently dated contexts of the excavation which allow us to date these pieces to a period roughly between A.D. 370 and A.D. 430/40. Des céramiques sigillées sans décor du 4ème/5ème siècle découvertes dans le castellum de Alzey lors de la fouille de 2002
L’article présente des fragments de céramique sigillée non décorée du 4ème/5ème siècle mis au jour en 2002 à l’occasion de la fouille du castellum d’Alzey (Antiquité tardive). 71 fragments correspondent à plus de dix types différents de récipients (jattes: 47, assiettes: 11, jattes/assiettes: 4, gobelets/cruches: 9). A cet ensemble s’ajoute un fragment de lèvre d’une céramique dérivée de la Terra Nigra datée du milieu du 5ème siècle. 56 récipients ont été datés par la stratigraphie durant la période comprise entre environ 370 et 430/440 après J.-C. E. M.
