Ölknitz, Jena, Rothenstein – Drei Fundstellen des Magdaléniens im Saale-Tal in Thüringen
Vorgestellt werden drei bisher unbearbeitete Fundkomplexe des Magdaléniens im Saale-Tal Thüringens, einer der klassischen Regionen zur Erforschung des späten Jungpaläolithikums in Europa. Dies sind das Inventar der ersten archäologischen Ausgrabung in Ölknitz durch Gotthard Neumann 1932, die Funde von Jena »An der Hohen Saale«, die als Lesefunde bzw. unstratifiziert während bronzezeitlicher Ausgrabungen 1866/67 durch Friedrich Klopfleisch zustande kamen sowie die Funde von Rothenstein »Kuhberg«. Letztere zeichnen sich trotz ihres Lesefundcharakters durch viele Zusammenpassungen und wenige Werkstücke aus. Diskutiert werden Rohmaterialherkunft, Operationsketten, saisonale Datierung, evidente Strukturen und räumliche Lage mit einer landschaftlichen Fragestellung. Diese könnte neue Perspektiven für die Interpretation des Magdaléniens aufzeigen.
Ölknitz, Jena, Rothenstein – Three sites of the Magdalénien period in the valley of the Saale river in Thuringia
Three so far not analysed find assemblages of the Magdalénien period in the valley of the Saale river in Thuringia are presented; they come from one of the classical regions for the study of the late Younger Palaeolithic in Europe. They are the inventory of the first archaeological excavation in Ölknitz run by Gotthard Neumann in 1932, the finds from Jena »An der Hohen Saale«, which were surface finds or came to light unstratified during the excavations of Bronze Age structures by Friedrich Klopfleisch in 1866/67, and the finds from Rothenstein »Kuhberg«. Despite the fact that the latter, too, are surface finds, there are many matching fragments and some work pieces. The origin of the raw material, sequences of operations, seasonal dating, evident structures and spatial location with questions of landscape archaeology are discussed. These could offer new perspectives for the interpretation of the Magdalénien period. M. S.
Ölknitz, Jena, Rothenstein – Trois sites magdaléniens dans la vallée de la Saale en Thuringe
Trois complexes magdaléniens n’ayant pas fait l’objet d’études jusqu’alors sont présentés ici. Ils se situent dans la vallée de la Saale en Thuringe, une région classique pour l’étude de la fin du paléolithique supérieur en Europe. Il s’agit de mobiliers en provenance des premières fouilles de Gotthard Neumann à Ölknitz en 1932, de découvertes de Iéna »An der Hohen Saale« qui ont été récoltés en surface et hors stratigraphie par Friedrich Klopfleisch en 1866/67 au cours de sa fouille de niveaux de l’âge du Bronze ainsi que de mobiliers de Rothenstein »Kuhberg«. Ces derniers se caractérisent – malgré l’absence de contexte – par le nombre des remontages et la faiblesse des outils. La provenance des matériaux, les chaînes opératoires, les datations saisonnières, les structures évidentes et la disposition spatiale au sein d’un terroir sont discutés. Cela pourrait ouvrir de nouvelles perspectives pour l’interprétation du Magdalénien. L. B.
