Admission to all permanent exhibitions of the RGZM in Mainz is free of charge.
Opening Hours during the holidays in 2013
The RGZM is open on holidays. If the holiday happens to be a monday, the museum remains closed. Other holidays:
Fastnacht, the museum remains closed from Saturday through Tuesday during Fastnacht (9 till 12 Feb.), but is open on Ash Wednesday.
Easter, the museum remains open on Good Friday, but remains closed on Easter Monday.
Pentecost, the museum is open Whitsunday and closed Whitmonday.
German Unification Day, the museum remains open on 03 Oct.
Christmas, the museum remains closed on 24 till 25 Dec., but is open on26 Dec.
New Year, the museum is closed on 31 Dec.and 1 Jan.
The dept. »Römerzeit« remaines closed on 6 Nov. due to an event.
