Restaurierung und Archäologie

»Restaurierung und Archäologie« is an annual journal acting as an academic forum on subjects of conservation/restoration, technological research, documentation and finds recovery, as well as scientific analyses of archaeological objects.

Apart from the publication of current research results of conservators, archaeologists and natural scientists the journal aims to provide a platform for the exchange of practical experience in object conservation. It also offers graduates of relevant subjects the opportunity to present their theses in a short version to a broader expert public.

The multilingually conceived journal will be published annually with ca. 120 pages and all-colour figures. It addresses all who feel committed to the preservation and study of the archaeological heritage.

The institutions responsible are the »Römisch-Germanische Zentralmuseum« and the »Archäologische Staatsammlung München« in close co-operation with universities, state archaeological services, museums and research institutes from which a board of specialised editors has been recruited. External reviewers will assess the contributions submitted, which can contain up to 20 printed pages including figures.

Articles in English and French are welcome.
